Tundra Usage instructions
Our wiki is a good place to start looking for usage, install and build instuctions. Sometimes it can be a bit hard to navigate so here is a list of the few key pages, and to a recent blog post about setting up your own server:
Tundra SDK Developer Documentation
Introduction and Architectural overview
There is some overview information in a couple of articles. Those are worked on in http://github.com/realXtend/doc – one is published now, more info and pointers coming here soon.
Opensim compatible versions (old)
The current new realXtend technology was rewritten from scratch (during 2009-2010) after the early prototype (made in 2007-2008)
.
Before Tundra, that new codebase was known as Naali. It was first developed as a backwards compatible new viewer which worked against the existing servers (either vanilla opensim, or opensim with realxtend additions). You can find information about these technologies below.
Since 2011, all development has been on Tundra (i.e. using the same codebase as the server too) so currently the Naali version is an older version of what has been further developed as Tundra (includes cleanup and many improvements).
